Consulate of Mexico in Boston
At the Consulate in Boston, I coordinated initiatives related to innovation, economic development, and engagement with the Mexican community in New England. I participated in events, working groups, and dialogue forums with key stakeholders from local government, universities, and businesses to create opportunities for our Mexican community. I also collaborated with civil society organizations on health campaigns, financial literacy programs, legal assistance, and immigration guidance. My focus was on transforming consular representation into something more accessible, helpful, and strategic.
Girls for Girls, Harvard Kennedy School
I served as Regional Manager for Latin America at Girls for Girls (G4G), a global women’s leadership initiative founded at the Harvard Kennedy School. My main role was to promote the creation of trusted women’s circles in several countries across the region—safe spaces where participants developed leadership skills, public speaking abilities, decision-making skills, and a sense of sisterhood. I coordinated efforts among volunteers, local ambassadors, and the global network, adapting the methodology to Latin American contexts, always with an intersectional and culturally sensitive approach. G4G aims to empower more women to step up and lead, and my work was precisely to pave the way for more women to do so together.
Ministry of Economy
At the Mexican Ministry of Economy, I worked in two key areas: the Economic and Global Intelligence Unit and the Competition and Competitiveness Unit. In the first unit, I promoted the international expansion of Mexican small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by organizing events, B2B platforms, and business meetings that facilitated their entry into markets such as North America, Europe, and Asia. I promoted the virtual and in-person participation of companies in initiatives such as Mujer Exporta, Semana Sur-Sureste, Semana Nórdica, and the Pacific Alliance, coordinating efforts with chambers of commerce, local governments, and strategic partners. I also followed up on domestic and foreign investment requests, strengthening processes to attract companies to Mexico under existing trade agreements such as the USMCA, the EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement, and the Pacific Alliance.
